Message #5 received at submit@bugs.debian.org (full text, mbox, reply):
package: perl
severity: important
version: 5.30.0-6
Hi,
Currently, perl-modules-5.30 is in section perl. Please move it to section
libs.
Britney only allows 'smooth updates' for binaries in section libs (or
oldlibs). During a perl transition, this should allows the old libperl5.xx to
stay in testing when a newer perl migrates. This means only the packages that
depend on the api need to go in together.
This currently doesn't work, because libperl5.30 (section libs) depends on
perl-modules-5.30 (section perl). As the old perl-modules-5.xx isn't allowed
to stay in testing, libperl5.xx can't stay around either. Moving
perl-modules-5.30 to libs would fix that (for the next transition).
Thanks,
Ivo
P.S. For the transition that just finished, I worked around this by
temporarily changing the britney config.

It looks like this will need an override update too, so reopening and
moving to ftp.debian.org.
override.sid.main.gz currently has
perl-modules-5.30 standard perl
Please change the section to libs or remove the override if applicable.
Thanks for your work on Debian,
