Foursquare was added for GNOME Maps. However, GNOME Maps recently removed it's Foursquare support [1], so there's no use for it anymore. Facebook was used by GNOME Maps and GNOME Photos. However, Facebook has been completely broken for a few years because the client code in GNOME failed to keep up with changes in their online APIs. This is why the Facebook support was removed from Maps in GNOME 41 [1]. Photos should do the same. This provides webkit2gtk3-4.1, which is not available from Fedora. I tried using Ubuntu first, but that's missing the latest librest. Arch has them both already. Good job, Arch!

Meson 0.50 is positively ancient, and we're getting deprecation warnings when building with reasonably more recent versions.

We need the latest version from the Git repository, as the packaged snapshot is not enough.

The Flickr authentication provider still uses OAuth 1, which is going to be dropped from librest before the 1.0 release. Since Flickr does not support OAuth 2, and it's unlikely it'll ever will at this point, the choice is really made for us.

At the previous fixed size of 400×500px, the "Next" button on the first page of the Google login flow is not visible. It also feels, subjectively, a bit cramped. Increasing the fixed size by 100px in each axis makes the "Next" button visible, is smaller than the default size of Initial Setup and Settings (the parent application for the dialog this view is embedded in), and also falls within the HIG-specified smallest display size of 1024×600. (The existing natural_size constants already exceed the HIG-specified minimum phone size of 360×294.) https://developer.gnome.org/hig/guidelines/adaptive.html?highlight=size#small-size-handling

OAuth 1 support has been removed from librest. It is now unused since the flickr provider was removed, so we can delete it.

This also means searching for librest even if !enable_goabackend. However, in that case the build can proceed without the library and only the example that uses it is removed.

The Google OAuth2 flow is going to be changed soon, as is written here: https://developers.googleblog.com/2022/02/making-oauth-flows-safer.html This change makes the GOA ready for the final deprecation, which is currently scheduled for August 31, 2022.

It's a copy-pasted widget, but since it's been in here forever and Nautilus has moved to GTK4, we are now responsible for fixing it.

The goaconfig.h.in template was messing up the build by using symbols defined in GLib without including glib.h. Instead of adding an include, though, we can simply drop the template and have Meson build one for us.

These warnings are aimed for debugging. They needlessly clutter users' journal logs, because the code can gracefully handle these errors.
